China's industrial robot market will continue to grow in the next five years！
In 2024, Chinese industrial robot manufacturers have made significant breakthroughs in market share. According to statistics, in 2024, the market share of domestic industrial robot manufacturers increased to 52.3%, and sales increased by 20% year-on-year, far higher than the overall market growth rate.
From the perspective of industry applications, as domestic manufacturers continue to increase their volume and scale production effects, their cost advantages are further highlighted. In addition to seizing the market share of some foreign manufacturers in the fields of automotive parts, electronics, photovoltaics, lithium batteries, etc., they are also actively deploying and entering some industries with small current robot application scales but great growth potential in the future, such as ships and automotive parts.
From the market performance of different models, domestic manufacturers have further improved their competitiveness in Cobots and Delta with obvious advantages such as fast market demand response speed, fast product iteration speed, and flexible price adjustment, among which domestic Cobots account for more than 92%. In the fields of scara robots and 6-axis, domestic robots have seized the share of some foreign manufacturers, and the speed of domestic substitution has further accelerated. 1. Cobots (collaborative robots)
Cobots have become the only field to achieve double-digit growth, with growing customer demand. COBOTS have high stability and safety, with a sales increase of nearly 30% compared to 2023. The rapid development of Cobots is mainly due to the continuous development of its downstream application scenarios, such as collaborative palletizing, collaborative welding, and collaborative use for new energy production line transformation, which has brought certain growth momentum to Cobots.
2. SCARA robots
In 2024, the domestic share of SCARA robots will further increase. In terms of horizontal picking, driven by the recovery of the electronics industry, the SCARA robot market has received a certain boost.
3. ≤20kg 6-axis
≤20kg 6-axis market performance was lower than expected, down 1.4% year-on-year. There is a certain demand in the metal manufacturing industry, but it is not enough to drive market growth.
